In Memoriam

SIFA would like to acknowledge the sudden passing of Mr Jim Waters, a valued member of our archery community in Ireland.
It is with great sadness that we heard of his passing.
To all the family and friends we send our deepest sympathy on your loss.
Jim was one of the best archers in Ireland in his chosen style and his dedication and drive in promoting the sport of Field Archery was always his goal.
In September 2011 in Tintern Abbey Jim played a major part in constructing and laying out the archery courses for the UK and Ireland Field Championships.
This competition will always be remembered as the best Championship that Ireland has ever hosted and is still talked about today by all who had the pleasure of attending.
Jim's drive and dedication in all that he did has inspired many people to set up their own Archery Clubs and sure enough Jim was always on standby, willing and able to lend a hand to all who needed it.
Jim might be gone but he will never be forgotten by all who had the pleasure of meeting and shooting with him for many years.

With Sadness.
Society of Irish Field Archers.
